An artist book about the nice places of Kultsjödalen, created by the children and young people of the Saxnas Fjällskola.
Already started last year, the students – supported by their dedicated teachers – are working together with the artist Karin Bergdolt on an artist’s book about their home: Which places, landscapes, people will be the focus? How can we show them and how will a book emerge from them? We all work together, to create a wonderful book: What makes the place we live, to the place we feel at home? What touches us? What keeps us going? What gives us energy and helps us to have a good, beneficial togetherness? What makes our living space worth living in? And what do you think: How can it all be shown through art?
We take pictures, write, draw, do experiments with the methods of the visual arts, put our results together, look at them, sort it out and find a structure. We are curious to experience creative adventures and ready to embark on exciting, artistic paths.

Day_7_ some words, with special thanks to Nina …
„I remember when I was small and the mountain was so big. I remember the sounds of the forest. I remember the cars down on the road. The road the cars sped on. The road that leads up here. I remember the water flowing in Fiskonfallet. I remember the water laid still on Kultsjön. I remember the feeling of being small. I remember when I sat on the cold snow. The sun shining in my eyes. Watching the big mountains. I remember the wind blowing in my hair. I remember the sun against the skin. I remember how it felt as I was on top of the world. I remember when I was in the reindeer corral in the summer. I remember my friends and family. I remember all the tiny calves. I remember when I saw three eagles. I remember when I was at my grandmotheres sami house. I remember when I saw the aurora. I remember when I took an ice bath in teh cold water, my body was chilled but I was still able to relax. I remember when I was sick. I was thinking about the northern lights I saw at Kultsjön. I remember thinking that I was lost in my bed.“
